NEWLAND, NC (Day 6). Yesterday we attended church with the Rohrbaughs at Fellowship Presbyterian Church (PCA) in Crossnore, NC. This is a true country church. We stayed for the covered dish meal after the service, which they called "Potprovidence Meal" (a Reformed rendering of Potluck). There was a lot of good food for so few people.
During the service we sat beside an open window. I kept wondering where the outlet was for the air conditioning, and finally realized it was the wafting wind that blew in on-and-off. Pleasant but unfamiliar.
Today we join the Rohrbaughs for a concert in Banner Elk, NC, then dinner out. We leave for home tomorrow. I have corrected a prior blog post that said we would be here until Feb 2nd (a typo). Would not want to be here then; we do not participate in winter sports, and would not want to drive a motorhome in snow and ice.
