Mayberry Campground, Mt Airy, NC.  We were here last year as well.  Nice grounds.  Hometown of Andy Griffith.  Please see last year's postings for all the details about that.

Betty really liked one of the rest areas we stopped at along the way to Mt Airy.  While there, she thought a photo of our motorhome and Jeep would be nice.

The grounds of this rest area were well kept, with large areas of yellow lilies in bloom.

The Mayberry Campground is adjacent to the home of the original "Siamese Twins," Chang and Eng Bunke.  Last year we visited the museum in town that chronicles their life here years ago.

Glad to stop driving for a while.  The drive up I-26 in particular was terrible.  Worst construction and bumper-to-bumper traffic ever.  Will try a different route next year.
