We drove Rt 12 from Bryce City to Torrey, Utah.  This is a small town with a few ranches in the shadow of Capital Reef National Park.  The RV park, Thousand Lakes RV Park, is like many others.  You must unhook your dinghy and pull it around so that the motorhome can be backed up to align with the electrical and water hookups.  Thus, the slot is not a true pull-through slot.  If you were to leave the next day and wanted to leave the dinghy attached overnight, you would not be able to hook up the motorhome to electrical and water while leaving the dinghy attached since it would extend out into the road.

Since Rt 12 is designated a scenic byway, Betty videoed much of the drive with her DSLR mounted on a monopod while in her seat.  An example of that drive can be seen here:  Utah State Road 12 from Bryce City to Torrey  The drive is a challenge for a motorhome pulling a dinghy.  8% and 10% inclines and downgrades extending for miles.  At the same time, the road twists and turns constantly.  It gives your engine and brakes a workout, even using exhaust brakes and downshifting.  OK in a car, but not a good choice for a motorhome.

Tomorrow we shall drive the Jeep into the national park for some photo taking.  We pretty much have the whole day to ourselves.
