FLAGG RANCH, WY Day 2.  Betty and I walked 8 miles hiking the Old Faithful area.  The Old Faithful Inn was bulging with people.  It is now well over 100 years old and seems to be holding up well.  The park areas to the south seemed quiet and uncrowded, but Old Faithful has grown to a large complex of buildings and become a village with its own post office.  We photographed Old Faithful and other geysers over many acres of land.

Little Firehole River

All the water in this river, pools, and geysers is boiling hot.  Pity the poor pioneer that thought a "cool" dip in this mountain stream would be refreshing.
