ST AUGUSTINE, FL. We arrived back home around 3:30 pm yesterday, Wed August 16th.  Over the weekend we did little except laundry at the only coin laundry in Red Bay, AL.  Typical messy coin laundry.

On Monday morning we found out why the washer stopped before completion of its cycle:  it came unplugged back behind it.  The two workers who supposedly plugged it in did it only halfway.  When we got it plugged back in, it completed the first cycle.  Since we were worked in Monday morning, our appointment being the prior Friday to which we were late due to repair work being done, we had to get the work completed on Monday, when the owners of another motorhome had their work scheduled.  Took longer that way, but we finally got back on the road around 1:30 pm.  It was late when we got to Montgomery, but it all worked out OK.

The next destination was Tallahassee.  On our way there, as we crossed the Alabama-Florida border, a violent storm came up, forcing us to pull over to the side of the road until it passed.  Hard winds and rain felt like it would nearly blow us over.  Again we arrived late, but it all worked out OK again.

The drive from Tallahassee was simple compared to the prior two days.  Short drive on relatively flat land and missed all storms.

We still have a lot of unpacking of the motorhome to do.  Since we are both a bit gimpy, it will take us a while.  I pulled a muscle under my ribs lifting Betty down from the motorhome back in July and it is still sore.
