OUTSIDE NEWLAND, NC (Day 4).  Yesterday on our third day here, we merely ran errands.  Took no photos or have anything of interest to tell.

Today, our fourth day here, we visited area RV parks to determine where we would like to spend time next summer.  Some of them had outstanding views, but were difficult to get to and pretty pricy.  See photo below.

A google ad popped up on our phones saying that the Billy Graham Family Home was up for sale.  We, like some others, thought it meant that their mountain home would be open to the public to view.  Turns out it was the home they had when so many peeping toms trespassed to look in their windows that Ruth decided a new location isolated high on a mountain was needed.  That is where the now-famous large log cabin style home remains, and is NOT for sale or open to the public.  We went to see the house that was advertised.  It is presently owned by Ruth Jr and was used by friends and family while in the Montreat area.  For a while it was available to rent.

We went there to see if there was an open house with a realtor to show us around.  Instead, no one was around and the house was locked.  I did take a photo through the living room window, as well as from the driveway.  I guess I am another peeping tom.  A realtor said the asking price is over $400,000.
