BAR HARBOR, ME.  Very nice ride today mostly on Rt 2 in northern Maine.  Stopped to take photos along the way.  Even the short distance driven on I-95 was beautiful.  Betty shot some videos, links to which we shall add later.

Arrived at Hadley's Point Campground around 5 pm.  Things are rather squeezed in here, so it took us a while to get set up.  After that we drove to the Jordan Pond House for supper.  It was so dark tonight that finding our way was difficult but greatly complicated by the Jeep's erratic GPS that sent us to roads that are not even on the map.  We just barely made it on time for our 6:30 pm reservation.  Being so dark, we were too late to see the views of Jordan Pond out the picture windows.

Returning home after supper was interesting.  There is a lot of road construction going on this year on Rt 3, the main loop around Mount Desert Island.  Add to that an unusually large crowd of people here this late in the season and you have a difficult drive in pitch dark on small roads without any street lights.  We also were driving in a dead zone for Verison, so we had to rely on the strange GPS in the Jeep.  Just glad to make it back to the campground.

We have plotted out the next two days' activities to include a lot of places both on Mount Desert Island and down the coast of Maine.  Should be interesting trying to squeeze it all in.
