HANOVER, ME.  It was a joyful ride from Essex Junction, VT to Hanover, ME.  The sun was shining all the way, and fall colors are beginning to appear everywhere.  Betty snapped a few photos as I drove mostly along Rt 2 in northern Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine.  New Hampshire is pretty narrow at the north end, so we passed through it quickly.  In my opinion, Vermont was easily the prettiest state for viewing fall colors, partly due to its many picturesque small towns.  We eagerly await the show of autumn coming into full view.

Many Colors Beginning to Appear

Clusters of Branches Turn Red Throughout Tree

Eventually the Whole Tree Turns
We are staying at Stony Brook Recreation campsite, a rather rustic RV park, though in summer they are busy renting kayaks and canoes and operating a zipline and swimming pool.  Considering how remote this area is, they must be a local hot spot in summer.

Tomorrow we travel to Hadley's Point Campground in Bar Harbor, ME.
