CENTREVILLE, VA.  As we neared the exit for reaching the Bull Run Regional Park Campground, once again the motorhome console displayed a familiar warning first seen five days ago, only now it related to the air brakes instead of the engine.  So, the problem we went to the Harrisburg Freightliner service center to have fixed -- and for which we paid them dearly -- is still not resolved.
Same general warning we got five days ago
After a few calls to find a nearby Freightliner service center, all I could locate was a general automotive technician who has worked on Freightliner chassis before.  He is due to come by the campground tomorrow noon to 1:00 pm.  Pray that he can fix it, since all other service centers are booked up for two weeks out.

For several days the Jeep wheels have made a scraping sound as they turn, pronounced when the brakes are applied.  Sounds like metal on metal.  Betty is taking it in to a Jeep dealer tomorrow morning.  I would be going with her, but the motorhome issue will keep me here at the campground.

Meanwhile, we have reservations for a place in Front Royal on Saturday.  Our carefully planned itinerary may come apart due to mechanical problems that have seemed to shadow us throughout this year's trip.

Nevertheless, we had a very nice visit with Tom and Kim Ransom, my brother's daughter and her husband who live nearby.  They invited us over for a very nice supper tonight, followed by much happy conversation.  Then Tom drove me back here to the campground, staying a while to see what the motorhome looks like.  Seeing the troubles we have had this year, they may be losing their enthusiasm for getting a motorhome of their own.
