STAUNTON, VA Day 2.  It was a beautiful sunny day as we drove back to Shenandoah National Park today to explore more of the Skyline Drive.  We packed a picnic lunch to take along and had a great time eating it at one of the many picnic tables.

It was much warmer today than it was two days ago, and we were surprised by the level of haze across the landscape.  This is caused by ultraviolet radiation that is common here in warmer temperatures, making photography difficult.  We tried to get some good shots off the overlooks, but most of the better shots were in shaded areas around the Appalachian Trail and fire roads.

We could not completely cover the Skyline Drive since it is so long.  In our two days there we probably only covered 2/3 to 3/4 of it.
